"Bible-Based Study Tours with Biblical, Historical and geographical perspective."
Connecting the Bible and Its Lands to our Life.
Hello, I'm Rev. Shirish Christie. By profession, I am an Art Director, but at heart, I am an Old Testament teacher, writer, and Holy Land tour organizer. I am passionate about connecting the Bible and its lands to everyday life.
This website is a collection of my personal historical studies, biblical reflections, and devotional geographical writings and maps. My goal is to provide practical and encouraging content that strengthens your relationship with God. I believe that a life lived well requires a growing and intentional connection with God through Jesus Christ. Here, I write about devotional living, the lands of the Bible, understanding Scripture, and resources that I have found helpful throughout my journey of faith.
I was born in 1972 and was born again in Christ in 1988 at the age of sixteen. Since then, I have actively practiced my faith within evangelical circles. By God's grace, I have been involved in various ministries dedicated to building God's Kingdom. Through these opportunities, I have learned and taught Bible study, evangelism, counseling, discipleship, and leadership.
Over the years, I have served with several Christian organizations, including UESI (Union of Evangelical Students of India), the Bible Society of India, the Tract and Book Society, and Operation Mobilization. I completed my Master of Divinity at United Bible Seminary, Pune, from 2006 to 2010.
By the grace of God, I have had the opportunity to visit the Holy Land more than 46 times with various tour groups. During these visits, my primary focus has been to teach God's Word at the very locations where biblical events took place, helping participants understand Scripture more deeply and discover God's purpose for their lives.
One of my favorite subjects is the Old Testament Survey, a five-hour teaching session that I have conducted in more than 112 locations across different denominations, family groups, churches, Holy Land tours, and in Europe-London study tours.
In October 2024, by God's gracious plan, I was ordained as a Reverend by the Original Irish Presbyterian Mission Church of the United Church of Northern India, Gujarat Church Council (Vadil Sabha).
On October 25, 2024, I received pastoral ordination from the Gujarat Church Council. I humbly request your prayers that the ministry God has entrusted to me over the past decades may continue to advance the Great Commission and contribute effectively to the building of His Kingdom.
I have authored six books, including:
- A Journey to Israel
- The Intertestamental Period
- Old Testament Survey (Translation)
- The Perfection of Beauty
- Jerusalem: The City of the Great King
- Beloved Daniel
I am currently working on a new book titled End Times Survey.
These publications seek to demonstrate the practical application of biblical truth to everyday life. For many years, I also contributed articles and columns to local Christian magazines, including Khristibandhu and Gujarati Christian.
I have been married to my wife, Hemangini, before twenty-six years. We live in the state of Gujarat, India, and are blessed with two children, Bennett and Sherryl, who currently live in Canada.
Hemangini and I took our first trip to Israel in 2014 as part of a professional tour group. While the experience was memorable, we returned with a burden in our hearts because of the treatment our group received. During that journey, God placed a vision in our hearts to organize Bible-centered study tours for those who genuinely desired to understand the Scriptures in their historical and geographical context.
Writing about Israel is almost as exciting as traveling there. These writings are helpful for those who have never visited the Holy Land, for those who have traveled with professional tour groups but lacked a Biblical perspective, and for those who long to visit but are unable to do so due to various circumstances. Through these resources, readers can explore the Bible lands and deepen their understanding of Scripture from wherever they are.
Today, Hemangini and I have the privilege of leading Bible-based study tours to Israel. We warmly invite you to join us.
During my Old Testament studies, I conducted extensive research on the value of understanding and experiencing the lands of the Bible through maps, photographs, historical data, and firsthand observation. My research revealed that even a single visit to Israel can have a profound and lasting impact on a Christian's spiritual life.
Thank you for visiting. My prayer is that these resources will help you grow in your understanding of God's Word, deepen your walk with Christ, and experience the richness of the biblical world in a meaningful and life-changing way.
All of this vision, ministry, and passion is directed by God's grace alone and for the glory of God alone.
Soli Deo Gloria!
"To God alone be the glory."
